There is just something about the smell of fresh cut alfalfa that just seems to make you want to sit back, relax, and take a deep breath of that amazing aroma that fills your lungs and takes you back to simpler times. (or makes your eyes water and nose run in my case) I love the to see the fresh hay laying in a field being picked up and packed to amazing tightness and dropped back onto the dry field in a big bale of hay. It is an amazing sight to see a field full of once thick and green alfalfa now full of row after row of bales.
This past week the farmer cut the field of hay behind our house; the girls love to sit on the back porch and watch the tractors go up and down the rows. It was a great opportunity to have some fun and take a few pictures of the girls enjoying the blessing of having the outdoors for a backyard.
