Pumpkin Guts, ewwww

The tradition comes every year, you spend days getting the kids hyped up, hours planning what to carve, and minutes watching the joy on the kids faces. The slimy guts gushing through the fingers, the crinkled noses, and the smell of the fresh pumpkin scent fills the house. The family memories make the mess all worth it. Kaitlin was so excited this year to carve pumpkins, but more than anything she was excited to eat the seeds. While dad and Kaitlin carved, Zoe colored on her pumpkin. She was so intent the whole time she was coloring; if we knew we could keep her this busy all the time, we might have had our own stash of pumpkins to pull out every other day!
